Tottenham secure verbal agreement with Man City for Marmoush
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City to sign Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush, with the transfer now moving closer to completion.
According to the latest reports, the two Premier League clubs have agreed on an initial loan arrangement for Marmoush. The deal is expected to include a buy clause that would become mandatory if certain conditions are met during his spell with Tottenham.
The potential permanent transfer has been valued at around £50 million, making the move a significant addition to Tottenham’s attacking options ahead of the new season.
Marmoush has already given his approval to the proposed transfer, with reports suggesting that the Egyptian international agreed to join Tottenham several days ago. His decision has helped pave the way for the clubs to finalise the remaining details of the move.
The forward is expected to travel on Monday, when he will undergo his medical examinations before completing the next stage of the transfer process.
Tottenham are understood to be keen on strengthening their attacking department, and Marmoush’s versatility could provide manager Thomas Frank with another important option in the final third.
The Egyptian attacker has impressed with his pace, movement and ability to contribute goals, qualities Tottenham will hope can make an immediate difference.
If the medical is completed without any issues, Marmoush will become the latest high-profile addition to Tottenham’s squad as the club continues preparations for the upcoming campaign.
