Two granted bail for sharing President Mahama GH¢150million video

The Kotobabi Circuit Court has granted bail to two men accused of circulating a video alleged to contain false information involving President John Dramani Mahama.

The accused, Issaka Yahaya of Nsem Fie TV and Godfred Ansu Damoah, appeared before the court after being arrested and charged with conspiracy to publish false information.

According to the prosecution, the two allegedly reposted and circulated a video in which President Mahama and the National Security Coordinator were purportedly heard discussing “GH¢150 million” during a conversation.

The prosecution contends that the video contained false information and that the accused contributed to its dissemination through social media platforms.

The court admitted both men to bail in the sum of GH¢30,000 each with two sureties pending the determination of the case.

They have been formally charged with conspiracy to publish false information, and the matter remains before the court.
