Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has reacted to the unfortunate events that led to the cancellation of Shattafest UK 2026, extending his heartfelt condolences to everyone affected.

In a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Stonebwoy described the development as heartbreaking, noting that it was the kind of news no stakeholder in Ghana’s music industry would ever wish to hear.

“This is definitely not the kind of news any event organiser, artist, fan or promoter of the Ghana music agenda wants to hear. Our hearts go out to all those affected,” he wrote.

Stonebwoy’s message comes after UK authorities cancelled the sold-out Shattafest UK event at Copthall Playing Fields in London over health, safety, and security concerns following reports of overcrowding.

Emergency services reportedly intervened after several attendees collapsed in a stampede at the venue triggered by a gas explosion.
