Sarkodie Sells Out Royal Albert Hall in Historic Ghanaian First Rapperholic Concert

On March 6, 2026 Ghana’s 69th Independence Day, Sarkodie became the first Ghanaian artist to sell out the Royal Albert Hall for his Rapperholic UK debut, receiving a plaque alongside Jay-Z and Adele. He shared the stage with stars like Stormzy, Headie One, Flavour, Efya, and King Promise, including a touching duet with pregnant Efya on their hits. West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus joined backstage, and Sarkodie closed by announcing Rapperholic UK 2027 at The O2 Arena, with presale sign-ups now live.
Rapperholic, launched in 2012 as an annual Accra event celebrating African rap, sold out the prestigious venue in hours, underscoring Sarkodie’s influence in bridging Ghanaian music with the global African diaspora.
Sarkodie attributes African artists’ current global surge to innate “swag and music,” while reflecting on his 2019 role in Ghana’s Year of Return campaign, which boosted tourism by 45% through diaspora reconnection efforts.
