The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned power outage in parts of the Tema Region on Thursday, August 6, to allow for emergency maintenance works.

The exercise is expected to last for two hours, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., to allow the power distributor undertake measures to improve service delivery.

Areas expected to be affected include Saglemi Housing, RSG, Pharmanova, Fenice Metal, Boiko, Lakpleku, Rainbow Paints, Bundase Military Training Camp and surrounding communities.

“ECG will undertake emergency maintenance works for improved service delivery. This will result in a temporary outage,” the company said in a public notice issued on Wednesday, August 5.

The company apologised to customers who will be affected by the planned interruption and appealed for their understanding as engineers carry out the maintenance works.

ECG assured the public that electricity supply will be restored to the affected areas immediately after the exercise is completed.

“ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise,” the notice added.
