FC Samartex have set their sights on winning the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League title, according to General Manager Edmund Ackah.
The Timber Boys, who won the league three seasons ago, finished fifth last season with 50 points.
With the new campaign scheduled to begin in September, Ackah says the club’s main objective is to reclaim the title while also making a strong showing in the GHALCA Top 4 tournament.
“The priority is to win the Ghana Premier League and do well next season, but we are also aiming to perform well in the GHALCA Top Four tournament,” he told Asempa FM.
Samartex have been preparing for the new season by participating in the Nsenkyire Cup.
They will now shift their focus to the GHALCA Top 4 tournament, which kicks off today at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The Samreboi-based club will begin their 2026/27 Premier League campaign against Karela United on Sunday, 6 September.
