More Roads, Hospitals, and Schools Coming, Says Tinubu

By Kingsley Ike

President Bola Tinubu has pledged to sustain a nationwide rollout of critical infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on expanding roads, hospitals, and schools. Speaking at a recent project launch, the President emphasized that his administration’s development drive will remain highly inclusive, ensuring that underserved rural communities across Nigeria are not left behind.

The President made this commitment on Friday while officially inaugurating the newly reconstructed Arab/Gbazango Road. Located in Kubwa, within the Bwari Area Council of Abuja, the completed road project serves as a practical demonstration of the government’s ongoing effort to improve local access and boost grassroots infrastructure.

“My administration will continue to systematically roll out critical roads, schools, and hospitals across all six Area Councils, and the country as a whole.

“By the special grace of God, we are moving steadily toward an era of sustained, inclusive economic growth,” he said.

President Tinubu, who was represented by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen , described the inauguration as “another milestone in my administration’s infrastructural revolution.”

He also said, “This ceremony is not just about opening a road. It is a practical validation of our Renewed Hope Agenda. We promised to transform governance into visible, impactful results.

“This completed infrastructure stands as a testament to that solemn pledge.”

While noting that his administration’s developmental vision for the Federal Capital Territory is complete inclusion, the President said the government has refused to restrict development to the high-brow city centre of Abuja.

He stated that the suburbs, the outskirts, and the satellite towns deserve the exact same high-quality infrastructure.

President Tinubu added, “Therefore, we will not rest until the dividends of democracy are equitably distributed to every community, not only in the FCT, but in Nigeria.

“As an administration, our focus is to ensure that every citizen enjoys a life of dignity, safety, and prosperity.”

Recalling how residents of Kubwa and the surrounding communities had faced immense commuting hardships for quite some time, with dangerous potholes and severe flooding persistently affecting the economic potential of the vibrant satellite town, the President said commuters were left stranded, and local businesses suffered.

Through the focused drive of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, under the leadership of Minister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, a path of frustration has been transformed into a corridor of immense opportunity. President Bola Tinubu praised Wike for demonstrating that when government works with vision and integrity, the results are both clear and impactful.

The President noted that the newly reconstructed road will drastically ease traffic congestion along the busy Kubwa axis while shortening commuting times for workers. Crucially, the upgraded route links citizens safely to the Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX) and surrounding neighborhoods.

Furthermore, President Tinubu highlighted that high-quality roads cause local commerce to thrive, boosting business patronage and allowing farmers to move goods freely. He added that the well-lit, paved infrastructure will allow emergency services to respond rapidly to save lives while significantly lowering criminal activity to boost local security.
