Jamal Musiala Collapses During Bayern Munich Clash With RB Leipzig

By Okiki Oluwasegun

Jamal Musiala suffered a worrying moment during Bayern Munich’s 3-1 pre-season victory over RB Leipzig, briefly appearing to lose his balance shortly after scoring.

The Germany international had entered the game as a second-half substitute and made an immediate impact by finding the net to help Bayern extend their advantage.

However, only minutes after his goal, Musiala appeared disoriented and struggled to remain upright.

New Bayern signing Ismael Saibari quickly reacted and moved towards the forward, while Joshua Kimmich also stepped in.

The pair helped Musiala to the ground safely before medical staff arrived to assess him.

The incident occurred in particularly hot conditions, with temperatures reportedly reaching 33 degrees Celsius.

After receiving treatment, Musiala was able to stand and walk from the pitch with members of Bayern’s medical team. He was subsequently replaced by Bara Sapoko Ndiaye.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl later offered reassurance about the player’s condition, saying the most important thing was that Musiala was doing well.

The victory was not entirely positive for Bayern, however, as Konrad Laimer was forced off early after suffering a foot problem, while Min-jae Kim was also substituted during the second half.

Bayern will next face Borussia Dortmund in the German Super Cup before beginning their Bundesliga campaign against VfB Stuttgart.
