Nollywood actress Blessing Obasi has opened up about the online abuse she faced following her marriage to fellow actor Stan Nze.

In a recent interview, she recalled being body-shamed and mocked over her teeth, with trolls advising her to stop laughing in public because of her dentition.

Blessing also shared that when Stan first posted her photo online, critics claimed she looked ten years older than him and doubted the authenticity of their relationship, with some even suggesting it was just for a movie role.

She added that her husband also became a target when his comments from an interview were twisted and misrepresented on social media.

Despite the hurtful narratives, Blessing stated that she has remained focused on her marriage and refused to let online opinions define her.

She said:
“I was dragged on my first wedding anniversary because of my teeth. Trolls told me to stop laughing publicly because of my dentition.”

“When my husband posted my picture for the first time, people said I was 10 years older than him. They also said it was a movie because they didn’t believe he would actually marry me.”

“My husband granted an interview one time; his words were twisted on social media.”
