At 50, Morrison Utoro Celebrates A Life Of Resilience As Bonjour Meals Ltd Marks 10 Years Of Excellence
As Mr. Morrison Ovakporaye Utoro celebrates his 50th birthday, the milestone coincides with the 10th anniversary of Bonjour Meals Limited, a company that has grown from a modest dream into one of Niger Delta’s leading food production and fast-food brands.
Born on August 1, 1976, six months after the death of his father, Morrison Utoro’s journey is a remarkable story of resilience, faith and determination. Despite an interrupted education and years of hardship, he remained committed to building a better future.
During the NACCIMA AGM in Port Harcourt, Bonjour Meals Limited was opportune to receive the NACCIMA President Jani Ibrahim and his team who visited the bakery and fast food facilities.
After studying Petroleum and Gas Processing Engineering Technology, his search for a career in the oil and gas industry proved unsuccessful. However, in 2010, a simple God-inspired idea to venture into bread distribution changed the course of his life. With borrowed capital and the unwavering support of his wife, Mrs. Glory Utoro, he laid the foundation for what became Bonjour Meals Limited, officially established in 2016.

Today, the Port Harcourt-based company operates modern bakeries and fast-food outlets across the Niger Delta, employing over 1,500 people and supporting hundreds of distributors. Renowned for producing high-quality, wholesome bakery products, Bonjour has earned consumers’ trust through strict adherence to food safety standards, regulatory compliance and a commitment to quality.
Beyond business, Morrison Utoro has remained passionate about empowering people through mentorship, cooperative initiatives and job creation, making a meaningful contribution to economic growth and community development.

To commemorate the twin milestones, a colourful celebration featuring pomp and pageantry has been planned in honour of the accomplished entrepreneur and business leader. The event will attract colleagues and alumni from the Lagos Business School, leaders of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), members of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA), captains of industry, business associates and other distinguished guests.

The celebration of the 50th Birthday Anniversary of Mr. Morrison Ovakporaye Utoro and the 10th Anniversary of Bonjour Bakeries Limited will hold on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Aztec Arcum Event Centre, 77 Ken Saro-Wiwa Road (Former Stadium Road), Port Harcourt, by 4:00 p.m.
While he is primarily known as an industrialist and entrepreneur providing safe, hygienic, and chemical-free food products in the Niger Delta, his public community impact is largely tied to corporate standards and security partnership rather than a standalone registered charitable foundation.
As he marks these historic milestones, Morrison Utoro’s inspiring journey stands as a shining testament to the power of faith, resilience, vision and purposeful leadership.
