Nollywood actress and filmmaker Fathia Williams has honoured her late mother with a heartfelt tribute, six months after her passing.

In a post shared on Instagram, she reflected on the lasting impact of her mother’s life and the memories they shared.

Williams shared a video from a family visit to her mother’s graveside, revealing that loved ones had gathered to pay their respects and ensure her memory lives on.

She expressed the deep void left by her absence, noting that her children and grandchildren continue to miss her dearly.

She wrote:
“Six months without you, Momi, and the memories still feel so fresh. We came to visit you, to remember you, and to remind ourselves that even though you’re gone, you will never be forgotten.” Your children miss you. Your grandchildren miss you. We all miss you dearly. Momi, you may be gone, but you remain forever in our hearts. We love you, we remember you, and we will always carry your memory with us. Rest peacefully, Momi. Until we meet again.”

The Nigerian Voice recalls that Faithia Williams broke the news of her mother’s death on social media, revealing that she died on February 7, the eve of her birthday celebration on Sunday. The actress expressed grief, noting how the sad news was “cruelly” kept away from her, and she is still struggling to come to terms with it.

The burial of her mother took place on Saturday, March 7, with colleagues in attendance, as they honoured the legacy of Williams’ mother.
