World Cup 2026: France Ready for Spain Challenge – Rabiot

By Okiki Oluwasegun

France midfielder Adrien Rabiot has expressed confidence ahead of his country’s FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final clash against Spain, insisting that Les Bleus have no reason to fear their formidable opponents.

The AC Milan midfielder believes France have earned their place in the last four through strong performances and are entering the encounter in excellent form.

According to Rabiot, the squad is fully prepared for the challenge and is determined to secure a place in the World Cup final.

Rather than focusing on Spain’s individual stars, including teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, Rabiot stressed that France’s attention will be on stopping the Spanish team’s overall style of play.

He noted that Spain possess quality across every area of the pitch, from their midfield combinations to their attacking movement, making them a dangerous opponent as a collective.

Rabiot added that France’s approach will be built on teamwork, discipline and tactical organisation instead of trying to neutralise one specific player. He believes maintaining that collective focus will give the team the best chance of progressing.

The 30-year-old also highlighted the strong unity within the French camp, describing the close relationship among the players as one of the key reasons behind their impressive tournament run.

He explained that the squad has grown even closer during difficult moments throughout the competition.

Rabiot further revealed that the knowledge this tournament will be Didier Deschamps’ final one as France manager has provided extra motivation for the players.

With a place in the World Cup final on the line, he said the team remains confident, humble and fully committed to completing its journey by lifting the trophy.
