We will challenge for every trophy next season - Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad

MON, 24 AUG 2026

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad has assured that the playing body will challenge for every trophy next season.

Danlad has returned to the club ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.

The former Black Satellites goalkeeper returns to the club after leaving Ethiopian side Coffe S.C., where he made 28 clean sheets in all competitions in over 55 appearances.

Having finished last season without a trophy, Danlad, speaking to the club’s media following his return to the club, assured that they will fight for every trophy.

‘I left as a young man, but now I am much more mature and have gained a lot of experience,” the 25-year-old said.

“Now I appreciate what it truly means to be a big name in a club, so, together with my colleagues, both the old and new faces, we will give everything for this club to win every competition,” Danlad added.

Danlad joined Kotoko in 2016 as a teenager and made his Premier League debut against Aduana F.C. in a 2-0 away win in the 2021-2022 title-winning season.

His outstanding performances earned him a call-up to Otto Addo’s World Cup squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will open their Ghana Premier League season with an away game against Debibi United.
