A HOST OF LOCAL ARTISTES, upcoming and established, were lined up on the live performance list ahead of the forthcoming Christmas festival slated from December 24-25 at Canal Olympia .

Dubbed “Wave Noheli Fest’, the two-day festival is being organised by Show Makerz, an Indian event management firm, to give entertainment enthusiasts a platform usher for Christmas celebrations in style.

The idea to bring the festival on Christmas was, according to organisers, inspired by the fact that they wanted to create more alternatives for show goers to celebrate  Christmas with their loved ones and give them a festivity where they can go and share meals, dance, socialise and celebrate  Christmas Day in a remarkable manner.

“The festive season, especially Christmas, is a special occasion for people to meet up and celebrate together. We had to create this platform for them to meet their dreams of celebrating the moment and make it a memorable one. We hope this festival will be their go-to entertainment destination on that special day,” said Isaac Kagara, the brains behind the festival.

The festival’s objective lies in getting people together and sharing music, dancing together and sharing food for them to feast on Christmas Day while enjoying the best music performances from their favourite artists and DJs.

A new generation-dominated lineup of eight artists namely Yvan Buravan, Ish Kevin, Bushali, Logan Joe, Ririmba, Alyn Sano, Davis D and Kenny K Shot are expected to perform at the festival. They will be divided in two days where four of them will perform on Christmas eve while the rest will entertain music lovers on Christmas.

Meanwhile, people will also be enjoying a selection of music mix from popular DJs Phil Peter and Ira while MCs Tino and Ange Umulisa will be hosting the festival. Food and drinks will also be served at the venue.

According to organisers, the festival will be an annual concept as they look to be the best in giving show goers a routine opportunity to celebrate Christmas with their families.

Meanwhile, there will be a special space for kids to get entertained. A host of kids’ activities on the lineup include face painting and gaming zone among others.

Tickets for the festival are already available at Rwf10, 000 for those who wish to attend the festival for one day and Rwf 15, 000 for those who will attend for two days.
