Transfer: Scottish Club Dunfermline Sign Nigerian Striker Olamilekan Adams
Nigerian forward Olamilekan Adams has completed a move to Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic.
The 21-year-old striker joins the Scottish outfit from Czech club SK Dynamo České Budějovice as he continues his football career outside Nigeria.
Adams has agreed to a two-year contract with Dunfermline, with the club retaining an option to extend the deal beyond the initial agreement.
Adams spent his first season in Czech football competing in the Chance Národní Liga. During the campaign, he made 18 appearances and contributed three goals and one assist.
Although his time in the Czech Republic was relatively short, his performances were enough to earn him another opportunity in European football, with Dunfermline now providing the next stage of his development.
Before making the move abroad, Adams was part of Remo Stars, where he established himself as an important player.
His performances with the Nigerian club helped him attract attention and eventually secure a move to Europe.
The striker has also gained international experience, having represented Nigeria at the under-20 level.
His arrival gives Dunfermline another attacking option as the club prepares for the Scottish Championship campaign.
Adams will be hoping to build on his experience in the Czech Republic and make a stronger impact in Scotland.
The move also continues the growing path of Nigerian players making their way into European leagues. Adams will now look to adapt quickly to Scottish football and establish himself as a regular contributor for his new club.
