Toyin Abraham Says Husband Warned Her To Quit Smoking After Child’s Birth
Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has credited her husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, for helping her quit smoking cigarettes.
Speaking on ‘The Morayo Show’, she described him as one of the best things to happen to her, noting that he allows her to be herself while also guiding her positively.
Abraham revealed that her husband advised her to stop smoking during her pregnancy and later made it clear that smoking around their child was unacceptable.
She admitted that she still vapes occasionally but has completely stopped smoking cigarettes. She also addressed kissing in movies, stating that her husband is mature and that she no longer has to engage in such scenes because of the platform she now has.
She said:
“Kolawole Ajeyemi is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. He lets me be me. I used to smoke cigarettes. I still smoke a vape once in a while. But I stopped smoking cigarettes.”
“My husband told me something when I got pregnant: ‘You know you can no longer smoke.'”
“When I gave birth, we went out, and he saw me smoking; he did not say anything.”
“But he told me that he did not say I should not smoke cigarettes, but he must not see the butt with his child. He warned that anytime he sees such, that would be the end of the marriage.”
“About kissing in movies, my husband is mature. He is not a boy. He is a man. Most of my colleagues’ wives are comfortable with me. I can do every other thing. But promiscuity is not one of them.
“God has blessed me with a platform now; I do not have to kiss anybody like years past.”
