Stop Renting Your Property To Churches – Daddy Freeze Warns Landlords

By Oluwarantimi Oludase

Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze has issued a strong warning to property owners, urging them to reconsider renting out their houses or vacant land to churches.

In a video shared on social media, he alleged that many congregations have a pattern of refusing to vacate such properties after occupying them for long periods.

Freeze recounted his family’s personal experience with such an issue, cautioning that what starts as a rental arrangement often ends with the church attempting to take over the property.

He also warned that renting land to a church could result in losing it permanently, as such properties often end up being treated as offerings.

The media personality also referenced scripture to argue that church buildings should not be regarded as the “house of God.”

He said:
“Stop renting out your house to churches. They pay better than most tenants but they will never leave, and after a while, they want to take over your property. That is their modus operandi. Most churches do this. It has happened to my dad before.”

“If you rent your empty land to a church, just know that you’ve used it as tithe and offering. Your property is for your children to use, not for pastors to give to their own children to inherit.”
