Rotimi Salami Mourns Late Colleague Allwell Ademola Ahead Of Her 50th Birthday

Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has expressed deep grief ahead of what would have been his late colleague Allwell Ademola’s 50th birthday.

In an emotional Instagram post, he reflected on her passing and the void her death has left in Nollywood.

Salami noted that Ademola would have turned 50 on Sunday, August 9, if she were still alive. He lamented the loss, describing it as a painful blow to the industry.

He, however , maintained that despite her absence, her works would continue to live on.

He wrote:
“Oh death!
Nollywood bleeds.
Shuga, you would be 50 years old on Sunday if you were here.

Though you may be far gone from us, your works will live forever.

Until my last breath.”
The Nigerian Voice reported that the Nollywood industry, particularly the Yoruba movie industry, was thrown into mourning over the death of actress Princess Allwell Ademola, who was announced to have suffered a heart attack which led to her death at the age of 49 on Saturday , December 27, 2025. Many actors and actresses took to their respective social media pages to express their shock at her sudden demise.

The late Allwell Ademola’s service of songs was held on Thursday, January 8, and was well-attended by several Nollywood stars, including Wumi Toriola, Iyabo Ojo, Odunlade Adekola, Rotimi Salami, amongst others.
