Afro-house singer Niniola Apata has continued to grieve the sudden passing of her husband, Michael Chiedu Ndika, who died on May 19, 2026, at the age of 44.

The music executive, who was also the founder of NaijaReview and Niniola’s long-term manager, passed away unexpectedly, leaving the singer devastated.

In a series of emotional posts on her Instagram story, Niniola reflected on the deep love they shared and the pain of losing him.

The late Michael Ndika was not only Niniola’s husband but also her business partner and best friend.

His death was met with an outpouring of grief from fans and colleagues, as he was a respected figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

She wrote:

“When the curtain falls

Before the show is done

You were meant to stay

But you went away …

Cos it’s raining raining

I just want my baby
