Nigeria raids expose the dark reality of the QNET employment trap for forty-four Ghanaians

The Ghanaian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has successfully coordinated the emergency repatriation of 44 citizens who were held under duress in Nigeria after being ensnared by a fraudulent employment syndicate linked to QNET. These individuals were originally lured across the border with sophisticated social media advertisements promising lucrative job placements and international travel opportunities that never materialized.

Upon their arrival in Nigeria, the victims were subjected to a grueling cycle of exploitation characterized by restricted movement and psychological coercion. Investigations reveal that the captives were forced into a high-pressure environment where they were mandated to recruit additional victims to sustain the scheme.

The rescue was the result of a high-stakes tactical operation conducted on March 16, 2026, by the Nigerian Department of State Services in direct collaboration with Ghanaian intelligence. Following their liberation, the group was transported back to Accra, arriving safely on March 20 to undergo formal processing.

Government officials in Ghana are currently working alongside Nigerian authorities to identify and dismantle the broader criminal networks facilitating these cross-border scams. Comprehensive rehabilitation and reintegration programs have been launched to support the survivors as they recover from the ordeal.

While expressing formal gratitude to the Nigerian government for its swift law enforcement intervention, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a stern warning to the public. High-ranking officials emphasized that all foreign job offers should be rigorously vetted through official channels to avoid the increasing prevalence of human trafficking disguised as legitimate corporate recruitment.
