Nigeria Misses Out as The Voice Achievers Awards Move Host Country for 2024 Event

Organisers of the popular The Voice Achievers Award, have announced that the event scheduled to hold on 15th and 16th August 2024 in Lagos, Nigeria, has now been moved to Nairobi, Kenya.

In a statement issued by the Founder and CEO of the awards, Pastor Elvis Iruh, the organisers said the “decision was taken after due consideration with the economic challenges and realities majority of Nigerians are currently facing.” Pastor Iruh said “it would not be fair and proper to stage a Diaspora event of this magnitude in the country under the circumstances.”

Pastor Iruh who said that “Our Diaspora friends are also disappointed not to visit Nigeria this year,” informed that Kenya have indicated interest to host the event for the second time.” The event held the first time in Kenya in August 2019.  

The Voice Achievers Awards are given out as a reward not only to successful businesses but to individuals who had  positive impact on their communities and the country or region they operate in respectively.

In its 25th year, the award has honoured several individual achieves and businesses all over the African continent.

The Voice Achievers Award, is the brainchild of The Voice Magazine, based in Almere, The Netherlands.
