Nations FC confident of hosting CAF Confederation Cup matches at Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex
Nations FC Chief Executive Officer Kennedy Boakye Ansah says they are confident of playing their CAF Confederation Cup games at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
The Abrankese-based side will represent Ghana in the second tier of CAF competitions after winning the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup.
Ahead of their maiden campaign, Boakye Ansah says the club is working tirelessly to ensure the stadium meets all CAF requirements and serves as their home venue for Africa.
“The Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex is eligible to host CAF inter-club matches, pending CAF’s final approval. We are doing everything within our means to ensure the venue meets all the necessary requirements so we can host our CAF Confederation Cup matches at our own stadium,” he told Akoma FM.
Kennedy Boakye Ansah added that the club’s preparations started long ago, with the team currently based in Accra as part of their build-up ahead of the competition.
“We want to take the Africa competition game by game and make Ghana proud. We started preparations long ago, and currently the team is in Accra preparing.”
The CAF inter-club competitions are scheduled to begin in the first week of September, and Nations FC are leaving no stone unturned as they prepare for their historic campaign.
