FRI, 10 JUL 2026

Ghanaian actor Majid Michel has revealed that his former classmates were surprised when he ventured into acting because of his quiet nature during his school days.

The award-winning actor said he was a reserved student who rarely participated in activities outside his immediate circle of friends, making his transition into the entertainment industry unexpected.

Majid Michel said this during an interview on Accra-based TV3 on Thursday, July 9, when reflecting on his childhood, education and acting career.

“I was very quiet. I didn’t cause trouble. I was always by myself. I was always inside my head,” the award-winning entertainer stated.

The actor said he was not the type of student who sought attention or frequently spoke in class.

He explained that he was focused on his studies and personal life and only interacted with his close friends during his time in school.

“Those that were in school with me will tell you that they were surprised I became an actor. Nobody even thought I would be an actor,” he said.

Majid Michel further noted that his acting career has grown significantly over the years, with his filmography now approaching 200 movies.
