Man City officially announce €100m Ayyoub Bouaddi transfer

Manchester City have officially completed the signing of highly rated Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille, bringing one of Europe’s brightest young talents to the Etihad Stadium.

The 18-year-old has agreed to a five-year contract that will keep him at the Premier League champions until 2031.

The transfer is understood to be worth €95 million upfront, with a further €5 million available in bonuses, taking the potential value of the deal to €100 million.

Bouaddi arrives in England after establishing himself as an important player at Lille despite his young age.

He made his senior debut shortly after turning 16 and went on to make 96 appearances for the French club before making the move to Manchester.

The midfielder also impressed on the international stage with Morocco at the 2026 World Cup, further increasing his reputation among Europe’s leading clubs.

His arrival is part of Manchester City’s efforts to strengthen and rebuild their midfield following the departures of several experienced players.

Bouaddi is expected to play an important role in the club’s long-term plans.

Speaking after completing the transfer, Bouaddi made his ambitions clear, stressing that winning must remain the priority at a club of City’s stature.

The youngster will now look to adapt quickly to English football and justify the significant investment made in securing his services.
