Renowned Nigerian filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan has shared a motivating message about pursuing one’s goal.

In a recent post on his Instagram page on Sunday, the award-winning filmmaker stressed the importance of fulfilling goals, noting how there is limited time to live.

According to him, no matter how little and tough to achieve the goal may seem— it is important to go for it.

He wrote:
“Life is too short to not do the things you said you wanted to do. Even if it’s a low budget version of it, just fucking do it.”

Niyi Akinmolayan is one of Nigeria’s top filmmakers, known for his work on several projects and has consistently pushed boundaries in Nollywood.

His recent theatrical release on December 24, 2025, ‘Colours of Fire’ has been a subject of discussion since its streaming debut on Netflix on August 7, 2026.

The movie has been subjected to immense criticisms form many movie lovers, who have questioned its use of AI and visual effects, while others have praised its ambition.
