Former Nigeria U-23 coach Johannes “Bonfrère” Jo has expressed disappointment over what he describes as years of neglect following the country’s historic football triumph at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

The Dutch tactician, who guided the Dream Team to Africa’s first-ever Olympic football gold medal, said he has never received the recognition or rewards that were reportedly given to many members of the victorious squad.
