FIFA has outlined three major regional tournaments that are expected to play a significant role in preparing Concacaf nations for the qualification race to the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

With the 2026 World Cup now concluded, Canada, Mexico and the United States will once again compete alongside the rest of the region as qualification for the next global tournament gets underway.

According to FIFA, performances in upcoming competitions could shape the fortunes of participating nations before the qualifiers officially begin.

The first of these events is the 2026 Concacaf Under-20 Championship, where emerging talents will battle not only for continental honours but also for qualification spots at the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
