Nigeria’s Falconets have arrived in Poland as preparations intensify ahead of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The Nigerian youngsters landed in the host country on Wednesday and have now turned their attention to completing their preparations before the tournament gets underway.

The team, led by head coach Moses Aduku, spent several weeks in camp in Abuja, where they underwent intensive training and played a number of friendly matches to build fitness and develop their tactical approach.

As part of their final preparations in Poland, the Falconets are scheduled to play friendly matches against hosts Poland and Korea Republic.

The games will provide Aduku with an opportunity to assess his players and fine-tune his plans before the competitive action begins.

Aduku named a 21-player squad for the tournament shortly before the team travelled to Poland, with the players hoping to make a strong impression on the international stage.

Nigeria have been placed in Group F alongside Spain, China and New Caledonia. Their campaign will begin against Spain at the Arena Sosnowiec, with the Falconets aiming to start the competition on a positive note.

The Nigerian side will be hoping their extensive preparations pay off as they target a deep run in the tournament.

With their arrival in Poland now completed, attention will shift to the final stages of preparation, as the Falconets look to adapt to the conditions and build momentum before their opening fixture.
