Chelsea Face Luton as Tottenham Draw Charlton in Carabao Cup
The Carabao Cup second-round draw has produced several interesting fixtures, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur among the Premier League sides discovering their opponents for the next stage of the competition.
Chelsea have been drawn at home against Luton Town, while Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Charlton Athletic. The second-round matches are scheduled to be played during the week beginning August 24.
The second round also sees a number of other Premier League clubs enter the competition. In the southern section, Birmingham City will take on Brentford, while Southampton face West Ham United in an all-Premier League encounter.

Everton will travel to Preston North End, while Wolves visit Sheffield Wednesday. Blackburn Rovers will host Sheffield United, and Burnley face Bradford City.
Other northern fixtures include Stoke City against Hull City, Doncaster Rovers versus Middlesbrough, Barnsley against Crewe Alexandra, Blackpool versus Lincoln City and Fleetwood Town against Shrewsbury Town.
With several top-flight teams now entering the competition, the second round is expected to provide plenty of competitive encounters as clubs begin their pursuit of the Carabao Cup trophy.
