Asante Kotoko only club to avoid GFA licensing sanctions before new season – Dr Kwame Baah-Nuako
Asante Kotoko are the only Ghana Premier League club to meet all of the Ghana Football Association’s club licensing requirements without receiving any sanctions ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The GFA’s Club Licensing Committee approved 14 of the 18 proposed match venues for the new campaign, which begins on 5 September.
Committee chairman Dr Kwame Baah-Nuako said Kotoko were the only club to complete the licensing process with full compliance.
“Asante Kotoko is the only club that met the club licensing regulations and was approved without sanctions,” he told Asempa FM.
The Porcupine Warriors will continue to use Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi as their home ground for the new season.
Kotoko begin their league campaign away to newly promoted Debibi United when the 2026-27 Ghana Premier League gets underway.
