Arsenal Close In on Christos Tzolis Following Trossard’s Departure

By Okiki Oluwasegun

Arsenal are edging closer to completing the signing of Club Brugge forward Christos Tzolis after the Greek attacker reportedly agreed to personal terms with the North London club.

The Gunners are now working to finalize an agreement with the Belgian champions, with negotiations believed to be progressing positively.

The proposed transfer is expected to cost around €40 million, making Tzolis one of Arsenal’s major additions ahead of the new season.

The move comes shortly after Leandro Trossard completed his switch to Turkish side Beşiktaş, leaving Mikel Arteta’s squad in need of another attacking option.

Trossard’s departure has created room for Arsenal to bring in fresh talent capable of adding creativity and goal-scoring threat in the final third.

Tzolis has impressed with his performances at Club Brugge, attracting interest from several European clubs thanks to his pace, technical ability, and eye for goal.

His consistent displays have convinced Arsenal that he possesses the qualities needed to thrive in the Premier League.

Reports suggest the player has already reached a verbal agreement over a long-term contract that could keep him at the Emirates Stadium for at least five years. With personal terms no longer an obstacle, attention has shifted to completing the final details between both clubs.

Club Brugge are also believed to be preparing for the transfer by exploring possible replacements for the Greek international.

If the deal is completed as expected, Tzolis will become another important addition to Arsenal’s squad as the club strengthens its options ahead of another campaign in the Premier League and European competition.
