Al-Qadsiah and Manchester City have reportedly reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Tijjani Reijnders, with the Saudi Arabian club prepared to pay €61 million for the midfielder.

The proposed deal, however, is not yet complete because Reijnders is yet to decide whether he wants to leave England for Saudi Arabia.

His approval remains the major obstacle before the transfer can move forward.

Reijnders joined Manchester City from AC Milan in 2025 after establishing himself as one of Serie A’s standout midfielders.

The Netherlands international quickly adapted to the Premier League and became an important part of City’s midfield.

His performances have attracted interest from several clubs, with Nottingham Forest also monitoring the situation.

However, Forest have not submitted a new offer, meaning Al-Qadsiah currently remains the only club reported to have reached an agreement with City.

A potential €61 million sale would represent a modest financial gain for Manchester City, who reportedly paid €55 million to sign the midfielder.

It would also allow the Premier League club to remove the remaining years of his contract from its wage commitments.

For Reijnders, the proposed move presents a significant career decision. At 28, he remains in his prime and has the opportunity to continue competing at the highest level in European football.

Al-Qadsiah will now have to convince the midfielder that its sporting ambitions and financial package are attractive enough to persuade him to leave Manchester City after just one season.
