A Call to Honour Our Heritage: Appreciating Support for the GbewaaPalace Development and Inviting All to Build With Us

The Gbewaa Palace stands as more than bricks and mortar. It is the living heart of Dagbon — the seat of our history, culture, and unity. As we continue the development of this sacred project, I pause first to say thank you.

Appreciation to Those Who Have Stood With Us

To every Dagomba son and daughter, chief, elder, youth group, association, and individual who has contributed time, money, materials, and prayers to the Gbewaa Palace development project: Dagbon sees you. I thank you.

Your support has shown the world what Dagbon means when we come together. From those who sent contributions from Tamale, Accra, Kumasi, and from the diaspora in Europe, America, the Middle East, and beyond, your commitment has kept the work moving. To our traditional leaders who offered guidance, to artisans and laborers who gave their skill, to families who gave sacrificially even with little — your generosity is building a legacy our children will inherit.

The progress we see today at the palace is because you believed that our heritage is worth investing in. For that, the name of Dagbon honors you.

A Call to All Dagombas Across the World

But the work is not finished. A palace befitting the name of Naa Gbewaa and the dignity of Dagbon requires all of us.

I am calling on every Dagomba, wherever you are across the world, to come on board. This is our collective inheritance. Whether you can donate 1 cedi, 10 cedis, or 10,000 dollars; whether you can mobilize your community, share the message, or volunteer your expertise — your hand is needed.

Let us make this a project that truly reflects the strength of Dagbon globally. Imagine a Gbewaa Palace completed through the unity of Dagombas from Saboba to London, from Yendi to Toronto, from Gushegu to Dubai. That is the statement we must make to the next generation: that we built it together.

An Invitation to Non‑Dagombas and Well‑Wishers

To our brothers and sisters who are not Dagombas, and to all well‑wishers of peace, culture, and development in Ghana and beyond: we invite you to join us.

The Gbewaa Palace is not only for Dagbon. It is a national treasure — a center for tourism, learning, peacebuilding, and for showcasing the rich traditions of Northern Ghana to the world. When you support this project, you are supporting cultural preservation, job creation, and unity in diversity.

Your contribution, no matter how small, becomes part of a story that will stand for centuries. We welcome partnerships from individuals, organizations, NGOs, businesses, and friends of Dagbon everywhere.

Let Us Build Together

Development of heritage is development of people. As we raise the walls of the Gbewaa Palace, we are also raising the pride of a people and opening doors for future generations.

To everyone who has already supported: thank you. Your seeds are growing. To every Dagomba yet to contribute: this is your call. To every non‑Dagomba and well‑wisher: your partnership will be valued and remembered.

May Allah and our ancestors bless every hand that gives, and may the completed Gbewaa Palace be a symbol of unity, progress, and honor for all of us.

For donations, partnership inquiries, and updates on the project, please reach out through the Gbewaa Palace Development Committee channels in your community.
