President Tinubu Mourns Pa Idowu Folorunsho Dada, Father of Presidential Aide Segun Dada
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has mourned the death of Chief Idowu Folorunsho Dada, father of his Special Assistant on Social Media, Mr. Segun Dada, who passed away at the age of 91.
In a condolence message issued on Monday, August 4, 2026, by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu extended heartfelt condolences to the Dada family over the loss of their patriarch.
President Tinubu described the late Chief Dada as a man of remarkable career and character, noting his service as former Sales Manager at NEXAN Kablemetal Nigeria PLC, which earned him the admiration and respect of colleagues and associates.
The President said Chief Dada left behind a legacy of integrity, discipline and compassion that will continue to inspire generations.
He also acknowledged the deceased’s role as a loving father and mentor who raised his children with sound moral values, including Segun Dada, and commended his commitment to the Church and exemplary family values.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the children of Pa Dada and the extended family members over the transition of their patriarch.
“I especially console Segun at this difficult time for the family. The family should find comfort in the legacy of service and good name left behind by Chief Dada,”
President Tinubu stated.The President prayed that Almighty God will grant Chief Dada’s soul eternal rest and comfort his family during this difficult period.
