Warri Wolves have made a major move to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season, unveiling 12 new players as they prepare for the new campaign.

The Asaba-based club confirmed the arrival of James Akawu, Ubah Cyracus, Blessing Ndubisi, Alex Aguodoh, Auwal Abubakar and Okon Samuel.

The list also includes Sani Ahmed, George Ekong, Wisdom Tom, Eventus Towo, Kennedy Anslem and Ezegbu Divine Justice.

The new signings were formally unveiled at the club’s headquarters in Asaba, marking the beginning of a significant squad overhaul as Warri Wolves look to build a competitive team for the upcoming season.

The club is reportedly not finished with its recruitment plans and could announce additional additions before the league campaign gets underway.

The latest signings are expected to provide greater depth and strengthen competition for places within the squad.

Warri Wolves will open their 2026/27 league campaign against Bendel Insurance on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The fixture will take place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

The opening match presents an early test for the newly assembled squad, with the coaching staff expected to quickly integrate the new arrivals into the team.

With 12 players already brought in and further recruitment potentially on the way, Warri Wolves appear determined to make a strong start to the new NPFL season and improve their prospects in the competition.
