Napoli Agree €6m Deal to Sell Lukaku to Fenerbahce
Napoli have reportedly reached an agreement with Turkish side Fenerbahce over the transfer of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, bringing his two-year spell in Italy close to an end.
The experienced forward is set to join the Istanbul-based club after the two teams settled on a deal worth an initial €6 million, with additional payments potentially becoming due depending on performance-related conditions.
Lukaku has also agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce and is expected to receive a substantial salary of around €10 million per season.
The move comes after the striker successfully completed his medical examination, clearing another major hurdle in the transfer process.
According to reports, the remaining work involves the completion and exchange of official documents between Napoli and Fenerbahce. An announcement confirming the transfer is expected once those administrative procedures have been finalized.
Lukaku leaves Napoli after two seasons with the Italian club, during which he contributed to a successful period for the team.
His time in Naples included being part of the squad that secured the Serie A title, adding another major domestic honour to his career.
The 33-year-old now faces a new challenge in the Turkish Super Lig, where his experience and physical presence are expected to strengthen Fenerbahce’s attacking options.
With the transfer nearing completion, attention will now turn to Lukaku’s official unveiling and his integration into Fenerbahce’s squad as the Turkish club prepares for the new campaign.
