Turkish champions Fenerbahçe have completed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Suliat Abideen as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.

The 24-year-old joins the Istanbul-based club from fellow Turkish side ABB Fomget after impressing with her performances in the Turkcell Women’s Super League.

She has signed a deal that will keep her at Fenerbahçe until the end of the season.

Fenerbahçe officially confirmed the transfer, welcoming the Nigerian international and expressing confidence that she will make a positive impact in the team’s colours.

The club also wished the midfielder success as she begins the next chapter of her career.

Abideen’s arrival further boosts the Nigerian presence at Fenerbahçe, where she will reunite with compatriots Flourish Sebastine and Regina Otu.

The trio is expected to play an important role as the club prepares for domestic and European competitions.

The midfielder arrives with an impressive résumé. In 2024, she helped her team win the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) title and was named the competition’s Player of the Tournament for her outstanding displays throughout the season.

She also earned the Most Valuable Player award at the 2024 WAFU-B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, further establishing herself as one of Nigeria’s brightest midfield talents.

Fenerbahçe head into the 2026/27 campaign as reigning champions of the Turkcell Women’s Super League and will compete in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

With Abideen now added to their ranks, the club hopes her creativity, technical ability, and experience will strengthen their ambitions of defending the league title while making a strong impression on the European stage.
