Abdullahi Adamu has officially stepped down as head coach of Nigeria National League (NNL) side Jigawa Golden Stars, bringing his time with the club to an end ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The experienced tactician confirmed his decision in a resignation letter submitted to the club’s management, expressing appreciation to everyone who contributed to his journey with the team.

He thanked the club’s leadership, players, technical staff and supporters for the trust and encouragement they showed him during his tenure.

Although Adamu did not reveal full details of his next destination, he indicated that he had accepted an attractive opportunity that would mark a significant step forward in his coaching career.

According to him, the offer was too good to turn down and presented the chance to embrace a fresh challenge.

His departure comes at an important period for Jigawa Golden Stars as the club prepares for the new Nigeria National League season.
