Pregnant Wife Fakes Abduction with Lover, Collects N2m Ransom From Husband
A 25-year-old Jamila Ardo has faked her own abduction and allegedly collected N2 million ransom from a Facebook lover Adamu Ahmed. Ardo pretended to her suitor that she was abducted.
Unknown to both her husband and Facebook lover, she was married and had pregnancy when the deal was being implemented.
Jamila tricked her husband into paying the ransom into her social media lover’s account number with Zenith Bank before coming out of her hiding place with the claim that she was released after the money was paid to the supposed kidnaper.
It was later discovered that it was hoax. And Jamila was arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court I in Yola for criminal conspiracy and self abduction.
Although she pleaded not guilty to the charges, Magistrate Abdullahi Mohammed Digil has adjourned the matter to enable the prosecution forward the case file to the director of public prosecution for legal advice, with the case fixed to hold on 10th March, 2022.
