New Railway project to link Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and DR Congo
The EU-AU Summit in Brussels was “packed and productive. It was a very good Summit. And we could see that, as Africa sets sail on the future, the European Union wants to be Africa’s partner of choice.” says President von der Leyen of the European Union at the joint press conference following the 6th European Union-African Union Summit
One major takeaway from the proceeds of the summit has been a discussion between the president of the Africa Development Bank Akinwumi A. Adesina and President Paul Kagame of Rwanda and President Suluhu Samia of Tanzania.
Mr Adesina revealed that the 4 countries Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and DR Congo stand to benefit from an advanced regional railway project.
We are positive and hopeful for the announcement and commencement of the proposed project for the East African states
