Gabriel Jesus is reportedly set to leave Arsenal for Barcelona after agreeing to join the Spanish giants on a two-year contract.

The proposed deal will keep the Brazilian forward at Camp Nou until 2028, with Barcelona also holding an option to extend the agreement for another season.

If that clause is activated, Jesus could remain with the Catalan club until 2029.

Jesus is understood to have quickly accepted Barcelona’s approach, viewing the opportunity to represent the club as an important step in his career.

The move would give him the chance to play in La Liga and compete for major domestic and European honours with one of Europe’s most decorated teams.

Arsenal have reportedly given the 29-year-old permission to travel, with the forward expected to make his journey on Monday as he prepares to complete the next stage of the transfer process.

Jesus joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 and has since featured prominently when available, contributing goals and assists across competitions.

However, his future in north London has increasingly come under scrutiny as Arsenal continue to reshape their attacking options.

For Barcelona, the potential arrival of Jesus would provide additional experience and versatility to their forward line.

His ability to operate centrally or from wider attacking positions could offer the club greater flexibility throughout the campaign.

While the formal completion of the transfer is still required, the agreement represents a significant development in Jesus’ future and could soon bring his Arsenal chapter to an end.
