Gabriel Martinelli is reportedly on the verge of leaving Arsenal after Al Hilal reached a verbal agreement to sign the Brazilian winger in a deal worth more than €65 million, including add-ons.

The proposed transfer represents a major move for the Saudi Pro League side, who have identified Martinelli as part of their plans to strengthen their attacking options.

The agreement is understood to have been reached verbally, with the remaining steps expected to focus on completing the formalities of the transfer.

Martinelli is set to commit his future to Al Hilal on a long-term contract. The Brazilian has also reportedly received permission to travel within the next 24 hours as he prepares to complete the move.

The potential departure would bring an end to Martinelli’s spell with Arsenal, where he developed into an important attacking player after arriving from Ituano in 2019.

His pace, direct running and ability to operate from the left flank made him a regular feature in the Gunners’ attacking setup.
