Seraph PR Set To Launch Monthly Nigeria Reputation, Media Intelligence Report

By Damilare Adeleye

A Nigerian communications firm, Seraph Public Relations and Media, is set to launch a monthly Nigeria Reputation & Media Intelligence Report, designed to track and analyse media narratives, emerging issues and reputation trends shaping the country’s communications environment.

The inaugural edition of the Nigeria Reputation & Media Intelligence Report, NRMI Report, is scheduled for September 7, 2026, according to a statement obtained from the firm on Saturday.

The initiative comes amid the growing influence of traditional media, social media and digital platforms in shaping public perception of businesses, institutions and public figures.

Seraph PR said the increasing volume and speed of information circulation had made it necessary for organisations to look beyond the amount of media coverage they receive and pay closer attention to the context and direction of conversations surrounding them.

The firm noted that an organisation could attract extensive media attention while simultaneously facing criticism across another platform, while issues that initially appear insignificant could evolve into major public conversations as they spread across different media channels.

According to Seraph PR, the NRMI Report will therefore focus on identifying broader patterns in Nigeria’s media and reputation landscape rather than merely documenting where organisations have been mentioned.

“The report will look at significant developments from the preceding month, bringing together notable media narratives, emerging issues and broader patterns within Nigeria’s communications environment,” the firm said.

It explained that media intelligence was increasingly important because monitoring media appearances alone might not provide organisations with a complete understanding of how they were being perceived.

“Rather than simply recording where an organisation has appeared, media intelligence seeks to examine the broader context around those appearances and identify patterns that may otherwise be difficult to see,” Seraph PR stated.

The firm said the NRMI Report was developed to provide that wider perspective, building on its growing focus on strategic communications, media intelligence, reputation management, thought leadership, and brand visibility and credibility.

Unlike reports focused on individual organisations or sectors, each edition of the publication will examine the previous month’s significant developments across Nigeria, with the objective of providing a broader assessment of the narratives attracting public and media attention.

Seraph PR said the report is expected to serve businesses and executives seeking greater insight into the environment surrounding their brands, as well as communications professionals, media practitioners and other stakeholders.

The firm also highlighted the potential long-term value of maintaining a monthly record of Nigeria’s media and reputation trends, noting that consistent monitoring could reveal shifts and patterns that may not be apparent from individual news reports.

“A single news story provides a snapshot. Consistent monitoring and analysis can reveal patterns,” the statement said.

It added that such patterns could provide useful context for organisations as they make communications, reputation and strategic decision-making choices in an increasingly fragmented media environment.

The inaugural NRMI Report will be published on September 7, with subsequent editions expected to be released monthly through Seraph PR and distributed via selected media partners, including Waves Media, as the firm expands its media network.

Seraph PR described the initiative as part of its broader move towards strategic communications and intelligence-led reputation management.

The firm said the project was designed to address a growing challenge in Nigeria’s information environment, where the abundance of news and commentary means organisations may increasingly need to focus not only on finding information but also on understanding the narratives and perceptions emerging from it.
