Liverpool are set to end their long-running association with Standard Chartered as the club prepares to welcome Turkish Airlines as its new front-of-shirt sponsor from the 2027-28 season.

The five-year agreement, which begins in June 2027, will see Turkish Airlines’ logo featured on the shirts of Liverpool’s men’s, women’s and Academy teams.

Financial details have not been officially released, although reports suggest the deal could be worth more than £300 million.

Standard Chartered has been Liverpool’s principal shirt sponsor since 2010. After the current campaign, the financial institution will continue working with the club in a broader global partnership.

Liverpool’s chief commercial officer, Ben Latty, described the sponsorship change as an important moment, pointing to the significance of the club’s famous red shirt and Turkish Airlines’ worldwide presence.

The new partnership also has a strong connection to Liverpool’s history. Turkish Airlines is already involved with European football as an official Champions League partner, while Istanbul holds a special place in Liverpool supporters’ memories following the club’s dramatic 2005 Champions League triumph over AC Milan.

The airline also sponsors the Turkey national team.

Liverpool’s new commercial agreement comes as the club continues to expand its global reach, with Turkish Airlines’ international network expected to provide opportunities for greater engagement with supporters around the world.

The partnership will officially begin after Standard Chartered’s 17-year run as Liverpool’s main shirt sponsor comes to an end.
