Turkish giants Fenerbahce have completed the signing of Ghana international Kojo Oppong Peprah from French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, with the 22-year-old set to be officially unveiled in Istanbul.

The Super Lig club confirmed Oppong Peprah’s signing on Friday, August 28, with the deal reported to be worth more than €10m (£8.6m).

Oppong Peprah joined Nice from Swedish club IF Norrkoping last summer and quickly established himself as a regular in the first team.

In his first season with the French club, he made 39 appearances across all competitions and scored once, with his consistency, physical presence and composure in defence attracting interest from several clubs, including fellow French side RC Strasbourg.

Fenerbahce ultimately secured his signature, handing the centre-back another significant step in a career that has taken him from Sweden to France and now Turkey in the space of two years.

His development has also been rewarded at international level.

Oppong Peprah earned a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring against England, Croatia and other opponents during the Black Stars’ campaign across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
