Jamie Vardy has completed a move to Burnley, signing with the Championship strugglers on a deal that runs until the end of the current campaign.

The switch brings the veteran forward back to English football after a spell in Italy with Cremonese.

Vardy remains the most prolific Premier League marksman in Leicester City’s history, having found the net 145 times for the Foxes across a career that made him a household name in English football.

He left Leicester for Serie A last year before parting ways with Cremonese this summer, leaving him a free agent ahead of his switch to Turf Moor.

His new club arrives at something of a low point, sitting at the foot of the Championship table without a win to their name so far this season.

Vardy will be hoping his experience and know-how in front of goal can help turn around a difficult start for the Clarets.
