Nigerian winger Daniel Job has completed a move to Major League Soccer side FC Dallas, bringing his spell in Norway to an end.

The 21-year-old joins the American club from Kongsvinger IL on a permanent transfer and has agreed to a contract that will keep him at FC Dallas until the end of the 2029 season. The deal also includes an option to extend his stay for another year.

Job heads to MLS after an impressive campaign in Norway, where his performances attracted attention from clubs outside the country.

He made 20 appearances for Kongsvinger, contributing eight goals and nine assists during his time with the club.

Reports indicate that FC Dallas paid approximately $5.2 million to secure the Nigerian’s services. The transfer is also reportedly the largest fee paid for a player moving directly from Norway’s lower divisions.

FC Dallas officials are optimistic that Job can make a significant impact in the attacking third. Chief Soccer Officer Andre Zanotta praised the youngster’s development and identified his pace and ability to take on defenders as qualities that could strengthen the team.

Job will now begin a new chapter in the United States, where he will be expected to adapt quickly to MLS football and continue his progression as a young attacking player.

With a long-term contract in place, FC Dallas clearly view the Nigerian as a player with considerable potential and hope he can develop into an important figure for the club in the coming seasons.
