Ghanaian Trader Kojo Forex’s AI-Built Prototype Site Draws Developer Security Critique

On February 27, Ghanaian forex trader Kojo Forex shared AirportFits.com, an innovative e-commerce platform utilizing AI prompts to enhance user experience and streamline outfit selection for travelers. The site features a polished storefront designed to showcase a diverse range of stylish travel outfits, complete with a Stripe demo checkout system to simplify the purchasing process.
However, shortly after the debut, developers in the Ghanaian tech community quickly exposed several critical security issues, including an openly accessible SQLite database containing fake order data and raw Python scripts that were visible through simple browser requests. In response to the growing concerns, Kojo defended the website as a fast Minimum Viable Product (MVP) aimed at rapid idea validation, boldly betting up to $200K that no competitor could match his launch speed without leveraging AI technology.
This assertion sparked a lively debate within the entrepreneurial sphere, as supporters praised the impressive non-technical achievement, recognizing Kojo’s ambition and innovative spirit, while professional developers highlighted the unacceptable oversight of fundamental security measures that could put users’ data at risk and undermine the integrity of the platform and the website development field in Ghana at large
At the beginning of this controversy was a claim Kojo Forex made that he developed 4 sophisticated websites from prompt in 2 hours.
