Italian coach Roberto Mancini has revamped the Saudi national team lineup by opting for a blend of youthful talent, sidelining some seasoned players. Notably, the inclusion of Talal Hajji is noteworthy, potentially making him the second youngest player in the history of the Saudi national team once he officially takes the field.

Under the guidance of Mancini and Yaya Toure, the Saudi national team is preparing for their official journey as they host Pakistan in Al-Ahsa next Thursday. Toure, who joined the Saudi coaching team in early November as Mancini’s assistant, brings a wealth of experience from various backroom roles since concluding his distinguished playing career four years ago.

Having recently joined Belgian club Standard Liege in June after serving as an academy coach at Premier League outfit Tottenham, Toure couldn’t resist the opportunity to collaborate once again with the coach who signed him for Manchester City in July 2010. Together, they achieved success, clinching the Premier League and the FA Cup.
