The exercise, according to ECG, forms part of efforts to improve service delivery and maintain the reliability of the national power distribution network. The company said the affected customers should expect interruptions during the scheduled maintenance periods.

The outages will occur at different times depending on the location, with some areas expected to experience interruptions from 9:00am to 5:00pm, while others will be without power between 9:00am and 3:00pm or 9:00am and 4:00pm.

ECG said the maintenance works are necessary to enable its teams to carry out planned interventions on parts of the distribution network. The company has therefore advised customers in the affected communities to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled outages.

The planned exercise will affect a number of communities and surrounding areas across the three regions, with Ashanti recording several separate maintenance activities. Central Region will also experience outages in multiple communities, while customers in parts of the Volta Region are expected to be affected by another scheduled intervention.

The power interruptions are expected to be temporary, with supply restored after the completion of the respective maintenance works.

ECG has apologised to customers who will be affected by the exercise and said it regrets the inconvenience the outages may cause.
